Project Background: RIEW - Ruse as Beneficiary of project „Activities for sustainable management of „Srebarna“ Reserve and „Beli Lom“ Reserve“, which is funded under Operational Programme „Environment 2007 - 2013”, conducted a procedure in accordance with the Public Procurement Act for choice of contractor with subject: „Development/ updating of management plans for reserve, managed reserve and protected localities within the territorial scope of RIEW - Ruse” with two lots.
„P-United“ Ltd. is chosen for contractor of Lot 2: „Development of „Beli Lom” Reserve Management Plan and development of „Lomia” Protected Locality Management Plan, including drafting specialized map.“
Project objectives: Management Plans of „Beli Lom“ Reserve and „Lomia” Protected Locality, including a specialized map.
Our approach:
Identification of currently available information.
Field research, incl. forestry taxation in order to provide the necessary additional information.
Conducting workshops both formal and in operating order.
Data analysis and evaluation of the ecological and socio-economic importance of the protected areas, including identification of general threats and long-term objectives and constraints.
Development of long-term and short-term programmes, plans and projects.
Conducting a public discussion on the Management plan of „Beli Lom“ Reserve.
Challenges and Solutions: Short term for implementation of the Contract.
The project was completed successfully and on time thanks to the organized work scheme of "P-United" Ltd.
Results: Management plans for „Beli Lom“ Reserve and „Lomia” Protected Locality, approved by the Minister of Environment and water with Order № РД-703 from 23rd of October, 2015.
